Since being handed her first-team debut by Willie Kirk as an 18-year-old in 2012, it is fair to say Siobhan Hunter has never looked back.
Born into a ferociously loyal Hibernian supporting family, Shiv spent a lot of growing up in and around the shadow of Easter Road.
Hunter is one of the most recognisable faces at Meadowbank given her incredible career and unwavering dedication to the Club.
Joining the Hibees as an 11-year-old from Edina Hibs, the centre-back has gone on to make over 275 appearances for the Hibees.
A Scotland international, Hunter made her A Squad debut just one year after her maiden Hibs appearance in a 3-2 victory over Iceland in June 2013 in Reykjavik.
Perhaps Hunter’s most iconic moment in a Hibs shirt came in the 2017 Scottish Cup final victory over Glasgow City, when she scored a thunderous 40-yard free-kick to help the Hibees on their way to a second consecutive triumph in the competition.
Not one to shirk off from her defensive duties, she battled back to the field after suffering a broken collarbone just in time for the 2018 SWPL Cup final — in which she was instrumental in our historic 9-0 victory over Celtic.
As a regular spectator at Easter Road in her youth, Hunter has relished performing in European night and Edinburgh Derby clashes at the ground — even scoring during our Champions League Round of 32 match versus Slavia Prague in September 2019.
A born winner, Shiv’s search for trophies with her beloved Hibernian has earned her three Scottish Cup and five SWPL Cup titles.
