Bio
Like many others in the last couple of years, Kirsten Reilly returned to Hibernian this summer on a two-year-deal.
Musselburgh born, Kirsten was raised in a Hibernian supporting family. After migrating to America to study and play at the University of West Alabama between 2013-2016 she won the institution’s Athlete of The Year Award. Returning to the UK, she joined Hearts in 2017, before transferring to Stirling University shortly after.
A number 10 capable of giving endless amounts of energy, the centre of the pitch will be a hive of energy with Kirsten back in our set-up. Driven runs and tough tackling have already promised even before she made her second debut in pre-season!
Securing stability at Hibernian, she played in green and white between 2018 and 2019 – during which she lifted a trio of trophies, winning the Scottish Cup in 2018 and the SWPL Cup twice. All won under the tutelage of Grant Scott, finishing 2nd in the 2019 SWPL season meant her final act at the club ensured qualification to the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League.
After becoming something of a club legend, Kirsten joined WSL side Bristol City in September 2019. She made a handful of appearances before returning to Scotland with Rangers in 2020.
With ‘The Gers, Reilly won her first SWPL title, helping the club to an unbeaten campaign in the 2021/22 season, playing alongside fellow summer arrival Ciara Grant in the process.
Returning to England after that success, Reilly signed for Crystal Palace Women in the FA Women’s Championship. Playing 44 times for the club, she helped The Eagles soar to a promotion winning campaign.
