Grant Scott took up the position of Hibs Women head coach for the second time in the summer of 2023.

Scott’s first spell in Leith, between 2018 and 2019, saw Hibs dominate Scottish domestic cup honours.

A cup double was secured in 2018, with Hibs thrashing Celtic 9-0 in the SWPL Cup final in May before defeating Motherwell 8-0 in the Scottish Cup final in November.

Hibs retained their SWPL Cup title under Scott the next season, edging out Glasgow City on penalties following a tense 0-0 draw in Airdrie.

Scott also took Hibs to the UEFA Champions League last 32 during this time, before departing the Club in December 2019.

Upon his return, Scott took over a Hibernian side in transition and successfully forged a positive dressing culture while implementing an entertaining brand of football. While a fifth-place finish in his first season back in the Meadowbank Stadium dugout disappointed Scott, it was clear he was building something special in EH7.

The 2024/25 season, Scott’s second campaign back in charge at the Club, will go down in Scottish football history thanks to Scott’s management.

After carefully crafting an exceptional playing squad that included a perfect blend of youthful talents and experienced pros, Scott would lead Hibernian to a historic Scottish Women’s Premier League title triumph despite our financial disadvantage to others in the division.

This was Hibs Women’s fourth-ever Scottish Women’s Premier League title success – and first triumph in 18 years. Scott was unsurprisingly named the 2024/25 PFA Scotland SWPL Manager of the Year.

With one league title triumph, one Scottish Cup win and two SWPL Cup successes across two spells, there is no doubt that Scott will always be remembered as a Hibernian FC legend.

Seeing success in management at Hearts, St Johnstone and Glasgow City (as interim), as well as Durham in England, Scott’s knowledge of the Scottish and wider women’s game knows little bounds.
