Bio
Rocky Bushiri was a name to look out for in Belgium as he broke onto the scene at an early age, and he’s now gone on to make over 100 appearances for Hibernian FC!
Born in Duffel, Belgium, on 30 November 1999, Rocky joined the K.V. Oostende’s Academy in 2012 after impressing in a tournament. Five years later, he signed his first professional contract, and shortly after he made his professional debut.
On 9 December 2017, the centre-back became the youngest-ever debutant for K.V. Oostende in a 1-0 loss to KV Mechelen in the Belgian top-flight.
The following season, 2018/19, Rocky featured regularly in the Belgian First Division A for Eupen making 33 appearances, with eight of those coming in the Europa League play-offs.
It was during that time when Bushiri was called up to Belgium’s Under-21s. Building on the two caps he received in 2017, the strong defender made seven caps and featured against the likes of France, Italy and Germany.
His impressive performances led to a transfer to Norwich City, before three loan spells back in Belgium followed.
After a loan spell, Bushiri joined Hibs permanently and has become a mainstay in the heart of the defence.
