The wee Hibees continued their winning streak with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Aberdeen on Friday night.
Darren McGregor’s side left it late at Cormack Park to secure a vital victory in the CAS Elite U18 League.
Luke Davidson’s header in the 88th minute proved to be the difference between the sides as the wee Hibees moved to the top of the league!
There was nothing between the two sides in the first half, with Ryan Mallon pulling off a couple of decent saves to deny the Dons in the opening exchanges.
Zach Bruce and Logan Jimenez had the best of the chances for the Hibees in the first 45, however we failed to trouble the hosts.
Again, the second half panned out in a similar fashion to the first with the defences remaining on top.
Aberdeen goalkeeper Rodrigo Vitols was kept busy between the sticks, making key saves from Logan Jimenez and Dean Cleland.
It looked to be heading for a goalless stalemate but substitute Luke Davidson had other ideas – timing his run to perfection and nodding home Rory Whittaker’s pinpoint delivery to spark wild celebrations from the wee Hibees.
That was the last action of note, with Hibs holding on to claim a massive three points.

The result means, the Hibees are now level on points with Rangers (55 points from 24 games) however we have a slender advantage thanks to our goal difference.
