We are delighted to announce the signing of Australian defender Stacey Papadopoulos on a two-year deal subject to work permit approval and international clearance!
27-year-old Papadopoulos has signed a pre-contract from Australian side Western United, becoming our first signing of the summer!
Playing in Australia since 2022, she was part of the Western United side that finished as runner-up in the Women’s A-League in 2022/23. At her previous club, Calder United, she also won a cup double in 2022.
Papadopoulos will bring steadiness and energy to our defensive backline as we build towards the 2024/25 season!
On her arrival, Stacey was delighted to join the club: “I want to give my best for the team and make sure that we’re able to compete in every game, finish higher in the table and compete with the bigger sides.”
