Nick Montgomery has urged his players to get into their rhythm quickly on Saturday as they take on Livingston in the cinch Premiership.
The Hibees come into this one with positive momentum being five games unbeaten in the league, but Montgomery wants to see more from his players from the very first whistle.
“You always want to see your team start fast and to be on the front-foot, but starting fast and controlling the game are two different things. We have to play our way.
“We want to start the game well, as always, but we need to grow into the game and start a rhythm a lot quicker than we have the last couple of games.
“It’s a good opportunity for us to take momentum into this game in front of our fans that have been fantastic, and to go into the break full of positivity.”
Hibs face a Livi side who currently sit bottom of the cinch Premiership, winning just one away game this season.
Montgomery, though, isn’t taking anything for granted, understanding the task ahead of him.
“I expect them to fight; to come here and compete. I have a lot of respect for David Martindale, he’s a good guy and one of the first people I spoke to when I came up to Scotland.
“I expect nothing more than a physical battle. We will give them full respect and concentrate on the way we want to play.”
