The 28-year-old joined on loan for the remainder of the season, becoming Nick Montgomery’s second signing of the January Transfer Window.
The creative forward brings with him a wealth of experience having played over 250 senior games – featuring in the Premier League, English Championship and Danish Superliga.

Having missed the majority of parent-club Bournemouth’s 2023/24 season due to injury, Marcondes has now arrived in Edinburgh and is determined to hit the ground running.
He told Hibs TV: “It was very important to find a Club that suits me and plays the football that fits me. That is what I really need now, to join a team that can play football and I can jump straight into.
“Over the last few weeks I have watched the team a lot. I was in Dubai at the same time as them, so I had some good conversations with the staff whilst I was over there.
“I spoke to Nick and he seems like a really good guy, he understands me and the situation that I am in at the moment.
“He showed me clips on his computer of his system and how he wants to play. and I could see myself featuring in that system. I could feel his excitement and interest in me which also meant a lot.”
Emiliano has spent most of his career playing in Denmark and England, but after limited minutes over the past 12 months, the forward is relishing a fresh start in Scotland.
“Scotland is fast-football, very physical. I am really excited and motivated to test myself at this level.
“A lot of people and fans might think that I am not suited to Scottish football, but I am a mature player now – I am more experienced, and I want to keep improving and to get better.
“I have played in the English Championship for many years now, so there isn’t a huge difference – but it is a new culture, another country and different football, so I am ready for the challenge.”

So, what can Hibs fans expect from our latest recruit?
“Fans can expect a player that wants the ball, a player that can play in-between the lines,” Marcondes continues.
“I make a lot of runs into the box and hopefully I can get a few goals, assists and help the team.
“The fans will see what I am about. I am a passionate player, I do a lot of running, I fight a lot, I play with my emotions, and I am a very driven player.
“I feel very good. I have been out for several months after my surgery in June (2023) and I came back around November. I did a sort of pre-season in Dubai to get me back up to speed, I feel great in training now, and I am ready to start playing consistently.
“There is nothing holding me back physically right now. Playing games is a bit different, I will need to get used to that again but I am ready to go!”
