Ahead of the trip to New Douglas Park, Scott addressed the difficult situation currently facing two crucial first-team players Siobhan Hunter and Shannon McGregor.
"It’s fairly public knowledge now the situation with Siobhan and Shannon, regarding Shiv’s mum. That’s been in our thoughts all week and we had to carry that with us last Sunday when we heard the news.
"Shiv’s a huge part of this club. She’s one of the leading characters in the dressing room so our work over the next few weeks will be all dedicated to her and her family while hoping for the best outcome.
"Internally, we had an inkling of what was going on so we said after (defeating St Johnstone) in our huddle that that was for her and we will just keep pushing on to support the girls under very difficult circumstances."

Reflecting on last weekend's 10-0 Scottish Gas Scottish Cup victory over St Johnstone, Scott was keen to praise the team's work ethic and quality despite lacking game time.
"For the players to arrive for their first game back and produce that kind of performance with very, very little signs of rustiness, for us as a group of staff and coaches, was really pleasing.
"It shows the professionalism of the group just now. They’re keen to keep performing as well as they can, it’s good to see.

Regarding the subsequent fourth round draw of the competition, Scott jokingly admitted he "could be happier" after a trip for Hibs to face Glasgow City was determined.
"I think there’s such a good history between the two clubs in this competition. We’ve played each other a lot over the years. It’s one of the tougher draws we could have had, for sure.
"It’s a tough challenge, particularly going away from home, but those are the games you need to rise to when looking to progress in the cup.
"It’ll be a really big game but we’ve got other games to look after before we get there. One game at a time."
