Hibernian FC were once again proud to show our support for the Football v Homophobia campaign in a recent SWPL match against Partick Thistle at Petershill Park.
Football v Homophobia is an international initiative opposing homophobia in football. Endorsed by the FA, its goal is to tackle homophobia and prejudice against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in grassroots and professional football.
Hibs Women captain Joelle Murray said, “All the players and staff at Hibernian FC are committed to standing up against any form of discrimination, which includes homophobia.
“I am proud that the Club continue to show support for the excellent work that Football v Homophobia does at all levels of the game. I strongly urge anyone to report abuse of a homophobic nature to help eradicate it from the game once and for all.”
During the warm-up in our last match, the Women's First Team wore Football v Homophobia campaign t-shirts.
