The 20-year-old defender joined the Club at the beginning of last season and has rewarded fans with numerous standout performances throughout her time in Leith thus far, playing a major role in the Club’s recent string of results.
A vocal presence on the pitch despite her age and having made 28 appearances for the club to date, Lawson has established herself as a key member of Grant Scott’s side.
Lawson expressed her delight upon signing her new contract: “I’m very pleased to be signing a new deal. I’m grateful to the Club for putting their faith in me, bringing me into the Club last season and now I’m reaping the rewards for all the hard work that I’ve put in over the past 15 months. I can’t wait to see where this club can go.”

Hibs Women manager Grant Scott also commented: "Poppy has been a pleasure to work with she is a keen learner and leader within the group.
“She is another exciting young player with an abundance of potential and has already had experience in the SWPL playing a key role in our recent three consecutive clean sheets prior to the international break. Myself and the staff look forward to working with Poppy over the next two years."
Lawson began her career at Manchester United where she began captaining the U21 team despite only being aged 18.
She would skipper the side to WSL Academy League success in her final year with the Club, moving north of the border to sign her first professional contract with Hibernian in 2022.
In the 2022/23 season, her debut campaign, Poppy would make 20 appearances in green and white. She would form formidable partnerships with both Siobhan Hunter and Joelle Murray in the process – two players she expects to continue learning valuable lessons from.
Starting the 2023/24 season in fine form, Lawson has played a vital role in every game so far, particularly in the derby victory against Hearts where she was a standout performer. She will look to continue building on that in the future.
Hibernian Women General Manager Chris Gaunt added: "At Hibs we’ve always had a strong tradition of working with and developing young players, and Poppy is one of those. We’ve seen her grow during her time with us, and we all believe that Grant, and his coaching team, will take her to that next level. We are really excited that she's signed with us until 2026."
