THE LOWDOWN

Our third game in the space of seven days sees us host Kilmarnock at Easter Road on Saturday; kick-off at 3pm!

Nick Montgomery’s side come into this one off the back of a 2-2 draw with St Mirren in Paisley.

The Hibees will feel hard done by not to come away with the three points having led twice in the match through goals from Josh Campbell and Joe Newell. However, we couldn’t close the game out and we had to settle for a point after Lewis Jamieson equalised in stoppage time for the hosts.

That result meant we moved up to eight in the cinch Premiership, with 12 points after 12 games, in what is an extremely congested league table with only six points separating fourth and 11th place.

This fixture is one of our dedicated Hibs Kids matches, meaning if you are a Hibs Kids Member you can attend the game for free!

We will also be hosting a range of activities in the Famous Five Stand for our Hibs Kids to enjoy before the match – CLICK HERE to find out more about our matchday activations around the Stadium.

THE VISITORS

Kilmarnock come into this one off the back of an impressive run of form. The Ayrshire side have picked up nine points from the last 12 available, beating Livingston (3-1), Aberdeen (2-0) and Motherwell (1-0) all at Rugby Park.

That run of form earned Derek McInnes the Manager of the Month Award for October after propelling Killie up to fourth in the cinch Premiership table.

This will be the second meeting between the sides this season – the first ended in a 2-2 stalemate at Rugby Park in what was Nick Montgomery’s first game in charge.

William Dennis scored an own goal for the hosts before Dylan Vente doubled our lead – but we were pegged back in the second half and ended up sharing the points in Ayrshire.

TEAM NEWS

With another quick turnaround between games, Montgomery will need to closely monitor the fitness and the recovery of his squad ahead of the week.

Christian Doidge and Adam Le Fondre both missed out against St Mirren, however, Jimmy Jeggo made a return to the squad after recovering from illness.

The Gaffer will provide the latest team news update when he speaks to the media on Friday afternoon.
