THE LOWDOWN
For our final home match of the season, Hibs Women host Celtic Women this Sunday at Meadowbank Stadium (kick-off 1:10pm) in Park’s Motor Group SWPL 1 action.
The Hibees narrowly lost to Hearts Women at The Oriam on Wednesday 2-1 but still showed a lot of desire and passion throughout the match.
The side will now be looking to end on the season on a high as they gear up to face Celtic Women and Partick Thistle Women in the final two league matches.
The Hibees also remain 5th in the league table, four points above Partick Thistle Women in 6th.
THE OPPOSITION
Following their 3-1 victory over the league leaders Glasgow City on Wednesday, Celtic Women sit 2nd in the Park’s Motor Group SWPL 1, two points off 1st.
Fran Alonso’s side will be desperate for a win on Sunday as they look to overtake Glasgow City and win the title. With only two league games left this season, a win is crucial for Celtic Women if they are to take home the league title.
Sunday’s clash will be the fourth and final meeting between Celtic Women and Hibs Women, with the former coming out on top on the previous three occasions.
