Elias Melkersen was called up to the Norway U21 squad for the first time in his career earlier this month. The Hibs forward has been previously capped at U17, U18 and U20 level and can now add appearances for the Norway U21s to that list.

Melkersen made his debut against Scotland U21’s, coming on as a substitute in the second half as the sides played out a 0-0 draw in Murcia, Spain.

The two sides met again three days later, where the 20-year-old made his full debut for Norway U21s! Melkersen played the best part of an hour in a 1-1 draw with Scott Gemmill’s side.

Rocky Bushiri was also called up to the DR Congo national team for the first time in June. The Hibs centre-back has made a full recovery from an ankle injury which saw his playing time limited in 2023, but is back fit again now.

DR Congo beat Gabon 2-0 which lifted them up to second in Group I of the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers, with one game left to play.
