The 30-year-old has put pen-to-paper on an 18-month deal and signs on undisclosed terms from Belgian side K.A.S Eupen.
Jeggo, a strong defensive midfielder, adds a lot of experience to the Hibs side plying his trade in the Australian, Greek, Austrian and Belgian top-flight; he has almost 300 club appearances under his belt.
A winner, Jeggo lifted the Austrian Cup with Sturm Graz, and adds international nous to the group. He was integral in Australia’s World Cup qualification and has earned 15 caps so far.
He joins Hibs from K.A.S Eupen where he has made 15 appearances in all competitions this season.

On the signing of Jeggo, Hibernian FC Manager Lee Johnson commented: “Jimmy is a very good communicator, will help our organisation both with and without the ball, and will aid the solidarity of the team.
“He’s mobile, a good athlete, and is technically good. You need players like him in a successful team.
“He will bring extra experience to the squad, and we look forward to working with him.”
