We have been drawn in Group D of the competition and will face Greenock Morton, Falkirk, Clyde and Bonnyrigg Rose.
The fixture dates, times and venues have now been confirmed. Here is a closer look at who we will be playing and what to expect from our opponents.
Clyde
Our campaign gets underway on Saturday 9 July against Clyde at Easter Road (kick-off at 3pm).
At the end of their 2021/22 campaign, Clyde finished 8th in cinch League 1.
Danny Lennon’s side finished 5 points above the relegation play-off spots, in what was their third consecutive season in League 1.
Clyde ‘keeper Neil Parry was named Player of the Season keeping four clean sheets in 25 League 1 appearances.
The last time we played Clyde in a competitive fixture was over 20 years ago - in the third round of the Scottish Cup. Franck Sauzee and Mixu Paatelainen were both on the scoresheet as the Hibees ran out convincing 6-1 winners at Easter Road back in January 2001.

Falkirk
We head to the Falkirk Stadium on Tuesday 12 July for a 7:45pm kick-off.
Falkirk spent their third season in a row in cinch League 1 following their relegation from the Championship at the end of the 2018/19 season.
The Bairns finished 6th in the table and struggled for consistency in a season that saw two manager’s depart the club.
In May 2022, Falkirk announced the appointment of John McGlynn as their new Manager ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

Bonnyrigg Rose
One of the ties of the round will take place on Sunday 17 July as the Hibees travel to Bonnyrigg Rose (3pm kick-off).
Bonnyrigg Rose put their name in the hat after they won promotion from the Lowland League into cinch League 2 for the first time in their history.
The Rose strolled the Lowland League, winning by 14 points before beating Highland League Champions Fraserburgh 3-2 on aggregate.
That set up a play-off final for a spot in cinch League 2 with Cowdenbeath. Once again, the Rose prevailed with flying colours, winning 4-0 across the two legs.

The two sides have only met once before in their history, back in 2017 in the fourth round of the Scottish Cup. The Hibees emerged 8-1 winners on the day, with Lewis Stevenson, Jason Cummings and James Keatings among the scorers that day at Tynecastle.
Greenock Morton
Our final group stage game sees us entertain Greenock Morton on Wednesday 20 July (7:45pm kick-off).
Dougie Imrie’s side finished 7th in the cinch Championship last season with 40 points.
Morton have never won the Scottish League Cup, their most successful campaign came in the 1963/64 season when they reached the final but were ultimately beaten in the final by Rangers.
Hibs needed extra-time to beat Morton the last time the sides met in the League Cup. Christian Doidge and Florian Kamberi netted the important goals as the Hibees won 5-3 at Easter back in August 2019.
