After dominating much of the ball in the first half, our task was made more challenging when Rocky Bushiri was dismissed on the hour mark for an off the ball incident.

Despite being down to 10 men, we create chances in the closing stages as we pushed for a winner. Speaking to Hibs TV after the match, Doidge admits that the initial feeling in the dressing room is one of disappointment.

“We are disappointed in there. We feel we should have won the game. Obviously we made it a bit harder for ourselves with Rocky getting sent off.

“We really wanted to come here and win today. I felt in the first half we dominated the ball and got ourselves in good positions. In the second half we created a few half decent chances that on another day we would’ve scored.

“We showed again today how good we are at defending. Going down to 10 men is always difficult especially away from home and the boys showed great fight to dig in.”

Doidge was back in the starting XI in place of Kevin Nisbet who has been ruled out till the end of the season due to injury. The Welshman has urged his fellow forwards to step up and contribute some more goals in Kevins absence.

“I am gutted for Kevin, he is a massive player for us. He has been great since he came in so it is really disappointing for him but I am sure he is going to come back stronger. I will be getting a few more minutes now so hopefully I can lead the line for the lads.

“We have to keep creating chances and hope that us front lads score some goals. We are doing the right things at the moment, we are keeping it tight at the back so it is now just down to the front lads to create some more chances and put the ball in the back of the net."
