The Production Process: Joma & Hibernian FC Working Hand In Hand
Hibernian FC and Joma work in partnership from the very first stages of kit development. For our home jersey, we wanted to focus on our identity and our home: the green and white colours, the front sublimated part of Easter Road and the embroidered thistle on the back, the national flower of Scotland. We also chose the words which appear on the bottom of the shirt: "togetherness, trust, integrity, authenticity, hard work". These are values which represent the Club.
In short, the design of a shirt is a joint effort on both sides; Joma provide the pattern and the technologies, and the team chooses its identity.

A Commitment To The Environment
Caring for the planet was a fundamental part of the design and production process of this shirt. Joma, for its part, has demonstrated its commitment to the inclusion of sustainable fabrics in its catalogue on numerous occasions. For this reason, the brand and the Club have joined forces in this aspect as well.
The Hibernian FC home shirt is made almost entirely from recycled fabric. On the one hand, the base fabric is made from 100% recycled polyester to minimise the impact on the environment. This fabric is obtained from plastic bottles, which are separated depending on the colour and the remains of paper. Other plastics are removed to later convert them into recycled polyester thread, the raw material necessary for the elastics.
In addition, the mesh inserts on the sides are also recycled.

A Jersey Which Includes The Most Innovative Technologies
Joma's products are recognized for their quality and technological qualities, which have been applied to the jerseys of Hibernian FC. The replicas on sale will have the same quality standards. This way, fans will be able to enjoy the same benefits as the Club's players. This is an exclusive Joma initiative, which seeks to maintain the excellence that always characterizes its products.
As it has been mentioned before, the manufacturing has been carried out with 100% recycled polyester to minimize the impact on the environment.
In addition, micromesh technology has been included to provide the jersey with breathability. Thanks to this mesh fabric, which replaces the base fabric, sweat evaporates quickly in areas of high perspiration. Therefore, the player's body remains dry, comfortable and post-exercise cooling is prevented. In this case, the mesh is also recycled, so the whole shirt has been manufactured in an environmentally friendly process.
Finally, the flatlock seams system has been incorporated preventing rubbing and providing elasticity and freedom of movement.
The new shirt is on sale on Monday (20 June)!
