Miller tragically passed away on 9 February, 2018 after suffering with pancreatic cancer, at the age of 36.
Born in Cork, Ireland, Liam represented his country through the age groups before making his senior debut on 31 March, 2004 against Czech Republic in a 2–1 victory at Lansdowne Road. Miller went on to make 21 senior appearances for Ireland, scoring one goal.
Liam had a well-established club career in football, starting his professional career with Celtic in Scotland. Miller won the SPL in 2004 with The Hoops, before signing with Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson.
Miller enjoyed stints at Leeds United, Sunderland and Queens Park Rangers in the mid-2000’s before he returned to Scotland to join Hibs in 2009 under John Hughes.
The midfielder quickly made an impression at The Hibees, winning SPL Player of the Month in his first full month with the club in October 2009.

Miller went on to make 38 appearances during the 2009/10 season helping Hibs to a fourth-place finish and earning himself a spot in the 2009/10 PFA Scotland Team of the Year.
Liam managed another 38 appearances the following season, totalling 76 appearances and scoring seven goals during his two years with the club.
Miller then swapped Scotland for Australia, playing for Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne before heading back home to Ireland to play for his hometown club Cork City. He finished his career in the United States where he played and coached until November 2017.
Liam passed away a couple of months later. He will always be fondly remembered for his brilliant personality and his contribution during his time here at Hibs.
