Hibs fans have, as always, sold out the away end at Tynecastle and will no doubt be heard from miles out as they cheer on their beloved team in the Club’s first game in 2023.
That support will be a huge driver to the players and Rocky in particular.
“You use the energy from the fans to do your best through the 90 minutes,” said the centre-back.
“The fans are a big boost even in preparation for the game because we know the fans will be there supporting us, they always are no matter what, and we will use that as an energy.
“The fans are our 12th man, and it gives you the extra edge when you’re tired.”
For many the Edinburgh Derbies are the first fixtures people look for and that’s exactly the same for Rocky Bushiri.
“I’m looking forward to the game. When I signed for Hibs, it was the first fixture that I looked out for. It’s a game you want to play in.
“I love these games. It’s two teams from the same city trying to defend their club. The game is full of passion, spirit, and mentality.
“Everyone is ready and prepared mentally. It is a game about mentality. Everyone is ready for that.”
