On 1 January 1973 Turnbull’s Tornadoes ran riot and cooked up a performance that went down in history.

Goals from Jimmy O'Rourke, Alan Gordon, Arthur Duncan and Alex Cropley sealed the win and fired Hibs to the top of the league.

To mark the anniversary there’s two special pieces of work that supporters can watch, read, and certainly enjoy!

Nil Seven

Nil Seven – a special documentary produced by the Club’s in-house media team - remembers the legends that made up Eddie Turnbull's iconic side.

The captain of the Tornadoes, Pat Stanton, spoke exclusively on the film alongside teammates Jim Herriot, John Brownlie, John Blackley and Alex Edwards.

Fans will also hear from those in the stands at Tynecastle on the day, including Hibs TV commentator Cliff Pike.

Watch that now!

HQ Magazine

Through HQ Magazine, supporters will be able to take a trip down memory lane and read all about that iconic victory on New Year’s Day in 1973.

There are eye-witness accounts from supporters at the game, in-depth features with stars of the game – Pat Stanton and John Brownlie – and much more to give you a different look at the match.

Alongside that, there’s touching tributes to Jimmy O’Rourke who sadly passed away earlier this year.
