THE LOWDOWN
The Hibees will make the short 30-mile journey to the Tony Macaroni Arena on Saturday 13 August, looking to push on from the 1-1 draw against Hearts at Easter Road.
Martin Boyle’s dramatic arrival and subsequent equaliser with the last kick of the game on Sunday earned a much-deserved point for Hibernian late in a hotly contested Edinburgh Derby.
Hibs are one of four teams that are currently unbeaten in the Scottish top-flight taking four points from the first two games.
This fixture is our third game of the cinch Premiership season so far, with Rangers (20 August, 12.30 kick-off) and St Mirren (27 August) still to come this month.
THE OPPOSITION
Livingston currently find themselves in 7th place, with one win and one loss after two games. They began the season with a tough fixture at home to Rangers, losing 2-1, a game they took the lead in.
They responded excellently to that defeat, however, and came away with a 1-0 win at Tannadice against Dundee United.
Their right-back Nicky Devlin has provided assists for both their goals this season.
David Martindale’s side also performed well in the Scottish League Cup, finishing second after three wins and just one defeat. They have progressed to the Second Round, where they will face Motherwell on 31 August.
TEAM NEWS
Now back in training both Paul Hanlon and Jake Doyle-Hayes are at the disposal of manager Lee Johnson going into Saturday’s tie.
Unfortunately, Kyle Magennis, Lewis Stevenson, Aiden McGeady and Kevin Nisbet are still absent from the Hibernian squad.
