The Australian international has joined from Saudi Arabian side Al-Faisaly FC and the terms of the transfer will remain undisclosed.
The 29-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a three-year deal with the Club having an option to extend for a further year.
Boyle is someone who needs no introduction. He’s made 265 appearances for the Club and scored 65 goals so far.
He was part of the squad that lifted the Scottish Cup in 2016 and played a key role the following season as the Club won the Scottish Championship.
From that point he grew from strength-to-strength and was named our Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year for the 2020/21 campaign.
Before departing in January 2022, Boyle scored 14 goals in all competitions – including a first-half hat-trick against Rangers in the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup – finishing as our top scorer.
On his arrival, Hibernian FC Manager Lee Johnson said: “It’s a huge boost for us and something we’ve been trying to do for a few weeks now.
“He will add charisma on and off the pitch. He fits perfectly into our playing philosophy in two or three positions and he’s a tried and tested player.
“The Board of Directors have done really well to push this one and to drive it through quickly.
“I’m excited to have him here as he will add a dynamic that we didn’t have.”
Chief Executive Ben Kensell added: “We are delighted to bring Martin Boyle back to Hibernian FC.
“After he left in January, we always had the mindset that if it was possible to get him back, we would make it happen, and we gave ourselves the best possibility to do that by including a first option clause within the outgoing deal.
“Due to the intricacies of the deal, it wasn’t easy to do, but we’re delighted with the agreement we came to with Al-Faisaly FC.”
