THE LOWDOWN
This Sunday, Hibs Women get their SWPL 1 season underway with a trip to the Excelsior Stadium to take on Celtic Women (Kick-off at 16:10).
Dean Gibson's side will be looking to make a winning start to the new campaign after a busy summer and a good pre-season.
THE OPPOSITION
Celtic finished third in the SWPL 1 last season – one place above Hibs – and secured an impressive cup double.
During the summer, Fran Alonso’s side secured the signing of ex-Hibee Amy Gallacher who could play against her former side this weekend.
TEAM NEWS
New signings Poppy Lawson, Ailey Tebbett, Benne Håland, Ava Kuyken and Nor Mustafa are all in contention to start on Sunday.
Krystyna Freda, Crystal Thomas, Lucy Parry and Eleni Giannou all began training with the squad this past week and therefore could also make their competitive debuts for Hibs on Sunday.
Unfortunately, summer signing Liana Hinds, is still in the process of finalising permits and will be unavailable for selection.
