In mid-September, the club announced that the first women's derby of the season would be played under the lights at Easter Road.
Aside from the desire to provide the women's team an elevated platform, there was the aim to break the Scottish women's football domestic attendance record - previously set in the 2019 Scottish Cup Final between Hibernian and Glasgow City.
Within 24-hours, over 2,000 of the free tickets had been snapped up.
After two days, the blue dots on the seating map were all but gone as 5,000 tickets were secured.
It was clear there was a level of excitement and anticipation for this fixture only seen once before when Bayern Munich came to town in 2016.
But despite this, Dean Gibson couldn't help but feel a little bit of doubt leading up to kick-off: "When we went in after the warm-up, there was still a lot of gaps.
"It wasn't until we went out for kick-off, I looked out and thought 'Jeezo, it's filled up'.
"When you looked up and around the West Stand, there was a sense of pride. Taking it all in was amazing."
Not only had Hibernian Women beat the initial target, they set a new, unprecedented attendance record of 5,512.
As mentioned previously, it was also becoming a bit of a trend for Hibernian Women...
With the fans doing their part in the stands, it was now down to the players to reward them with a performance to remember. And they didn't disappoint.
Goals from Alexa Coyle, Rachael Boyle and Eilidh Adams gave Hibs a 3-0 win and all three points.
It was Coyle who opened the score for Hibs in the 7th minute with an excellent header from close range. Colette Cavanagh had the ball on the left wing before delivering a perfect cross for Coyle to head home.
Boyle scored Hibs’ second goal of the game with a fantastic chip. Boyle took advantage of Parker-Smith being out of her goal and chipped the Hearts keeper perfectly from the left-hand side.
Hibs got their third of the match in the 82nd through a fantastically well-worked move that was finished off by substitute Eilidh Adams.
For a lifelong Hibee like Adams, it was a dream come true: "I'm a massive Hibs fan, I've been going to Easter Road since I was young. That just made it even more special to be at Easter Road.
"Scoring against Hearts is always a great feeling but in front of the massive crowd, I was almost in tears. I absolutely loved it and I want to just keep reliving it.
"When you come off the bench, you just want to make an impact on the game. I was delighted to have got off to such a good start with an assist. Obviously, I assisted Smally and then she assisted me.
"I'd never played in front of a crowd like that, and, as I said, with it being at Easter Road just made it so, so special."
This Wednesday sees Adams, Boyle, Coyle and co travel across the city to face Hearts at Tynecastle.
