Kathleen McGovern is "absolutely delighted" that her two first-half goals helped Hibs Women onto a momentous Edinburgh Derby victory over "difficult" Hearts on Sunday evening.
The striker netted her 27th and 28th respective goals for the 2024/25 campaign inside the first 45 before Eilidh Adams netted after the break to seal an important 3-1 win at Oriam.
Speaking to HibsTV, McGovern beamed over the team's unity and high workrate.
"I’m absolutely delighted. Great team performance, even the players coming off the bench and pulling their weight.
"There’s just a right togetherness in the group right now and that's proven with the result today.
"It was a difficult task as Hearts are a good side," she added. "But obviously I’ve scored two.
"I'm delighted for myself personally. I just think that scoring 28 goals this season is a massive achievement for me and I'm enjoying my football here at Hibs."

There is no denying the impact of the result at the tailend of the ScottishPower Women's Premier League season.
The result keeps Hibs' three point gap with Glasgow City, and five point difference from third-place Rangers, intact heading into the final three matches of the campaign.
"We knew it was crucial but we're trying not to look too far ahead," McGovern commented. "We knew it was going to be a tough task coming here, especially with the venue.
"Our focus was the three points and it puts us in a good position again with three games to go.
"It'll be a good training week this week. With no midweek game, it's good that we recover because there's a lot of tired legs.
"That'll be good for everyone to rest and recover because there is tired bodies and we’ll see what the last three games hold for us."
